Chemical Peels

Chemical peels can be applied to the face as well as the body and result in rejuvenated skin with little to no downtime. Whether you have tough, resilient skin or sensitive, reactive skin we have the appropriate chemical peel.

PCA SKIN Peels

PCA SKIN chemical peels typically cause little to no discomfort and minimally visible exfoliation for all skin types (including sensitive skin and rosacea) and colors. Chemical peels are strictly administered by a PCA SKIN certified professional here at ChicMed. After a brief evaluation, we will customize a peel best suited for your skin consisting of layers of self-neutralizing products. The strength and depth of the chemical peel are controlled by the ChicMed professional based on the number and type of layers applied during the treatment. After peel application, nutritive topicals and calming products are applied. A single peel can be performed to give your skin a “boost” but a series of treatments would be best when treating a more stubborn skin condition. A typical treatment lasts 30 minutes and the client leaves with a glowing, healthy-looking complexion.

VI Peels

Safe for all ages and skin types, our medical-grade VI Peels address moderate to severe skin concerns. With 5 different formulations, there is a VI Peel to target all of the following conditions:

• Sensitive skin and rosacea
• Acne and breakout-prone skin
• Acne with hyperpigmentation and scarring
• Hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage and stubborn melasma
• Aging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles

The body’s natural collagen growth and elastin production are triggered after the VI Peel, continuing to improve the skin’s appearance over several months post-treatment.

The VI Peel uses a unique combination of ingredients for optimal skin renewal:

• Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) – smoothes deep scars and stimulates collagen growth
• Retin-A – softens fine lines and moderate wrinkles
• Salicylic acid – exfoliates the tissue and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent
• Phenol – treats deep lines and creases
• Vitamin C – an antioxidant used to brighten the skin

What You Can Expect

A ChicMed professional will choose the peel best suited for your unique needs and goals. During treatment, the esthetician will first thoroughly cleanse the skin, removing all traces of oil and dirt. The peel solution is then applied in layers and will remain on the skin for a minimum of 4 hours. The office appointment will take about 30 minutes from start to finish. The esthetician will provide clear instructions on aftercare. You will be giving an aftercare kit to take with you, and we will educate you on the best way to use these products to ensure optimal results. For best results, we recommend a series of peels. Specific expectations of each patient will be discussed at the consultation.
